Burglaries

Burglars broke through a door of a home in the 900 block of Sally Street in Hollister between 9am Sunday and 12:30am Monday, the Hollister Police Department said. Burglars took a Remington rifle worth $200 and a home entertainment system worth $200, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars broke into a vehicle in the 1600 block of Iris Court in Hollister between 6 and 7am Saturday, police said. Burglars took $200 in cash, a driver’s license, wallet, and $60 in cash and checks from a San Benito High School fundraiser, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars broke through the rear door of a home in the 1200 block of Sunnyslope Road in Hollister between 1pm Friday and 9am Monday, police said. The tenants had been evicted, but burglars took a dresser and table worth $50, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars broke into a Ford F-150 in the 800 block of Monterey Street in Hollister between 7pm Monday and 7am Tuesday, police said. Burglars took $1,500 in cash, keys, a purse, a wallet, credit cards and a driver’s license, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used a sliding glass door or window to enter a home in the 1700 block of Valonia Way in Hollister between 10am and 11:55am Tuesday, police said. Burglars took custom jewelry pieces worth $200, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars entered a home through a bedroom window in the 1200 block of Clearview Drive in Hollister between 3pm Feb. 5 and 11am Tuesday, police said. Burglars took a washer worth $1,500, a dryer worth $1,000 and a radio worth $50, police said. Burglars removed a door from its hinges leading to the garage of the home, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used a sliding glass door to enter a home in the 400 block of Rustic Street in Hollister between 9:30am and 3:30pm Tuesday, police said. Burglars took $800 in cash, a ring worth $800 and men’s jewelry worth $1,400, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglars used an unlocked back door to enter a home in the 100 block of McCray Street in Hollister between midnight Sunday and 5:15pm Tuesday, police said. Burglars took jewelry worth $800, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

Vandals damaged the door panels of three vehicles parked at a funeral home in the 800 block of San Benito Street in Hollister between 4:10pm Sunday and 7:30am Saturday, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandals slashed the tires of two vehicles in the 500 block of Tiffany Drive in Hollister between midnight Friday and 11:59pm Tuesday, police said. There are no suspects.

Hit and Run

Police seek the driver of a black sports utility vehicle who hit a car in the intersection of San Benito Street and Palmtag Avenue in Hollister at 3:27pm Tuesday, police said. The accident caused injuries to a 53-year-old Hollister woman and a 39-year-old Hollister man, police said. Both were taken to Hazel Hawkins Hospital by ambulance, police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Drug possession

Alan Bruce Crisp, 45, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and three misdemeanor counts of possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, after a deputy stopped him at First and Ahwanee in San Juan Bautista at 3pm Monday, deputies said. A deputy noticed Crisp trying to grind a object into the floor of his truck with his foot, deputies said. Crisp was found to be in possession of three methamphetamine pipes and 1.18 grams of methamphetamine, deputies said.

Alcohol charges

Jose Ruiz, 20, of Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of minor in possession of alcohol, a misdemeanor; being drunk in public, a misdemeanor; and having an open container in a vehicle at the intersection of West Street and Nash Road at 7:30pm Tuesday, police said.

Samuel Murillo, 26, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor; having an open container in a vehicle, a misdemeanor; and drinking while driving, a misdemeanor; at the intersection of West Street and Nash Road at 7:38pm Tuesday, police said.

Ruiz and Murillo were arrested after officers received a call that two men were urinating on vehicles near the San Benito High School swimming pool and watching the girls’ swim team practice, police said.

John Luna Gonzales, 49, of the 400 block of Powell Street in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of being drunk in public in the 500 block of Virginia Drive at 4:43pm Tuesday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
