Vandalism

Vandals spray painted “City Boy Taggin” on a building in the 1200 block of Memorial Drive in Hollister between 5:30pm Feb. 17 and 10am Tuesday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Vandals keyed a Dodge Durango in the 400 block of Fifth Street in Hollister on Tuesday at 3:30pm, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandals broke the window of a home in the 1300 block of Marne Drive in Hollister between 6:30am and 6:30pm Feb. 18, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglary

Burglars broke into a truck in the 300 block of McCarthy Street in Hollister between 9pm Feb. 17 and 9:30am Feb. 18, police said. Burglars stole various tools worth $2,500, police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Drunken Driving

Denise Corrina Perez, 41, of San Jose, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop on Highway 25 south of Shore Road at 1am Thursday, according to the CHP.

Manuel Fernandez, 35, of Clovis, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after causing an accident at San Felipe Road and Wright Road in Hollister at 10:58pm Wednesday, police said.

Resisting arrest and drug possession

Raul Anthony Acosta, 45, of the 500 block of Powell Street in Hollister, was by police on suspicion of resisting arrest and causing injury to a peace officer, a felony; possession of a controlled substance, a felony; resisting arrest, a misdemeanor; and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, a misdemeanor; after officers received a call that a man was in the back yard of a home in the 400 block of Seventh Street in Hollister at 9:43pm Wednesday, police said. Acosta ran from officers and during the chase, fractured the finger of an officer, police said. Acosta was in possession of .52 grams of marijuana, marijuana cigarettes totaling 1.46 grams, 1.46 grams of methamphetamine and a methamphetamine smoking pipe, police said.

Drug possession

Sharlene Stokes, 19, of the 300 block of College Street in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, after police received a call about suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of College at 5:03pm Thursday, police said.

Valdemar Verdusco, 38, of the 300 block of McCarthy Street in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, a felony, after police received a call about suspicious circumstances in the 300 block of College at 5:03pm Thursday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
