Driving under the influence of marijuana, Prospect Avenue
At 12:20 a.m., a 27-year-old Hollister man was stopped for a traffic violation on the 900 block of Prospect Avenue. The suspect showed objective signs of being under the influence of marijuana. He was arrested for operating a vehicle under the influence of marijuana and was booked into the county jail.
Drunk in public, San Felipe Road
At 7 p.m. on Wednesday, a 27-year-old Hollister man was contacted by police on the 100 block of San Felipe Road after two reports of him being drunk. The suspect was unable to care for himself, so police arrested him and booked him into the county jail.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
Battery on a police officer or emergency personnel, Memorial Drive
Around 3:30 p.m. on Friday, police were checking the barbecue pits across the street from Veterans Memorial Park on the 1100 block of Memorial Drive when several juveniles fled and jumped over a fence. Police caught up with one of the juveniles and found him to be highly intoxicated and in possession of alcohol. Per procedure, the intoxicated juvenile was taken to Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital for medical clearance. At the hospital, the Hollister juvenile spit in the face of a hospital worker and an officer. He was cited and released to his mother and the case was forwarded to the district attorney’s office.
Plant marijuana, West Street
At 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, officers were dispatched to a vacant house on the 1000 block of West Street for a potential trespassing issue. Police found seven or eight marijuana plants in the backyard. Police said the case is closed.
False identification and driving without a license, Maple Street
At 5 p.m. on Monday, a 22-year-old Hollister man was pulled over by police on the 100 block of Maple Street. The suspect provided a false license during the stop. Police discovered his true identity and found he did not have an actual license. He was cited for driving without a license and having a false identification and released.
Vandalism, West Street
Around 9 a.m. on Sunday, an unknown suspect threw 40-ounce beer bottles at a residence on the 1000 block of West Street. The bottles caused damage to a vehicle in the driveway and the garage door.
