Vehicle Theft:

Sharlene Stokes, 19, of Hollister, and Rebecca Cruz Galindo, 18, of Hollister, were arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of felony vehicle theft in the 2900 block of Fairview Road at 5pm Tuesday, deputies said. The arrest resulted from a “Be on the Lookout” issued by the Gilroy Police Department for a vehicle stolen out of its city, deputies said. A deputy spotted the vehicle driving on Fairview Road and as the deputy gave pursuit, the suspects fled into the trailer park on Fairview Road, deputies said. Deputies found the suspects had fled on foot and set up a perimeter, deputies said. A deputy saw the two suspects walking out of the trailer park and placed them under arrest, deputies said.

Drug possession:

Luis Barajas, 51, of the 1000 block of Monterey Street in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor; possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and bringing a narcotic into jail, a felony; after police received a call for prowling on East Street at 10:42 Wednesday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
