Driving under the influence:
Marty Lynn Allen, 33, of the 700 block of LaBaig Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a routine traffic stop on Highway 25 near Highway 156 at 3:45am Friday, according to the CHP.
Raul Munguia Navarro, 55, of the 500 block of Fifth Street in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a routine traffic stop on Fifth Street east of San Benito Street at 10:50pm Sunday, according to the CHP.
Domestic violence:
Sandra Cooley, 40, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, and being under the influence of a controlled substance, after responding to a domestic dispute call at 3:40pm Saturday, deputies said. Cooley punched a man in his right cheek, leaving a cut, and later grabbed him into a headlock, deputies said. Cooley was also found to be under the influence of a stimulant, deputies said.
Credit card theft:
Craig Leroy Stephens, 30, of the 00 block of Stephens Drive in San Juan Bautista, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of receiving stolen property, a felony, and theft of a credit card, a felony, after deputies responded to a call from LTD Luxury Limo on San Juan-Hollister Road in San Juan Bautista at midnight Friday, deputies said. Stephens had attempted to use a stolen credit card to rent a $700 limo ride, deputies said.
Battery:
Guadalupe Duarte, 56, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of battery, a misdemeanor, and being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, after deputies responded to a fight at 9:10pm on Friday, deputies said. Duarte had punched a man in the face, but the man restrained him until deputies could arrive, deputies said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
