Vehicle Theft

A burgundy 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe was stolen between 10pm Friday and 6am Saturday from a residence in the 700 block of Vali Way in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. The vehicle was recovered by the California Highway Patrol at 2:14pm Saturday on Bixby Road, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglary

The San Benito Bank was entered at about 3:47am Sunday in the 300 block of Tres Pinos Road in Hollister, police said. Windows were broken, but nothing was taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Grand Theft

An unlocked storage shed was entered between 10am and 10pm Sunday in the 1200 block of Ramona Avenue in Hollister, police said. Tools worth $500 were taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Public Intoxication

A 35-year-old Hollister woman was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, when deputies responded to a disturbance call at 1:46am Sunday in the 1700 block of Blake Court in Hollister, deputies said. The woman had come home from a party drunk and began banging on the doors and window of the home where she was staying, deputies said.

A 21-year-old Hollister man was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of public intoxication, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to a call of a man stumbling drunk through traffic at 6:03pm Saturday in the intersection of Hillcrest Road and Memorial Drive in Hollister, police said.

A 23-year-old Hollister man was arrested by police on suspicion of vandalism and public intoxication, both misdemeanors, after officers responded to a disturbance call at 2:22am Sunday in the 100 block of Fourth Street in Hollister, police said. The man had broken a window with a bat and injured himself while doing so, police said.

Domestic Violence

A 37-year-old Hollister man was arrested by deputies on suspicion of domestic violence, being under the influence of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all misdemeanors, after deputies responded to a disturbance call at 1:12am Saturday in Hollister, deputies said. A woman had been pushed in the chest, deputies said.

A 28-year-old Hollister man was arrested by police on suspicion of domestic violence and false imprisonment, both felonies, after officers responded to a disturbance call at 4:02am in Hollister, police said. A woman had been grabbed by her neck and pulled into a car, police said.

Vandalism and Brandishing

A 17-year-old Hollister boy was arrested by police on suspicion of brandishing and vandalism, both misdemeanors, after officers responded to a call of road rage at 10:23pm at Vintage Way and Verona Place in Hollister, police said. The boy had thrown a rock at another vehicle and threatened the driver with a baseball bat, police said.

Driving Under the Influence

A 20-year-old Gilroy man was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing bodily injury and illegal weapon possession, both felonies, after a crash at 11:59pm Saturday in the 100 block of McCray Street in Hollister, police said. Two people were sent to the hospital with cuts, police said. The vehicle had flipped onto its roof and suffered major damage, police said.
