Threatening crime, San Benito Street

At 4:39 p.m. Friday, a 43 year-old Hollister resident entered the Locker Room on the 400 block of San Benito Street and while inside, the suspect confronted the owner and for some reason threatened to kill the owner with a gun, police allege. The male suspect was arrested, transported to the San Benito County Jail and charged with death threats. The case has also been referred to the district attorney’s office for possible prosecution.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Assault with a deadly weapon, Hawkins Street

At 2:45 p.m. on Thursday, there was fight between two Hollister female juveniles on the 100 block of Hawkins Street. Police said the fight escalated to assault with a deadly weapon – not a firearm – when three other Hollister juveniles threw the victim to the ground and repeatedly kicked her resulting in serious injury. Police are still investigating and need to contact the suspects. The victim is said to be in stable condition.

Contributing to juvenile delinquency, Mimosa Street

At 1:10 a.m. on Friday, police contacted two subjects in front a residence on the 1700 block of Mimosa Street with open alcohol containers. Police said that one of the subjects was a Hollister minor who was cited and released for underage consumption. The other was a 30 year-old Hollister resident. He was cited and released for contributing to juvenile delinquency for purchasing alcohol for a minor.

Theft of personal property, Petaluma Court

An unknown suspect took tools, a GPS unit and cash from an unlocked vehicle on the 1600 block of Petaluma Court. The theft took place around 6 p.m. on Friday. No suspect information is available.

Dangerous dog, Airline Highway

At 1:39 p.m. on Saturday, police received a report of a dog that was leashed to a bench outside of Nob Hill Foods on the 1700 block of Airline Highway that bit an employee. The victim was bit on the face and on the leg. A complete narrative of the occurrence has yet to be filed with police, and no information on the dog’s owner is available.

Unreasonable noise, Sixth Street

At around 6:14 p.m. on Saturday police responded to the 400 block of Sixth Street for a municipal code violation of unreasonable noise. A 29 year-old Hollister resident was cited and released for the repeated noise complaints.
