ARRESTS
Indecent exposure, Washington Avenue
At 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, police received a report from a citizen of a person walking around the 800 block of Washington Avenue without a shirt on who was also exposing his genitals. Police responded to the area and found the man around the corner. The 41-year-old Hollister man was arrested and booked into the county jail.
First-degree robbery, Walnut Lane
At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, a 32-year-old Hollister man approached an acquaintance at his residence in the 700 block of Walnut Lane. The suspect pointed a gun at the victim, took his car keys and threatened him. The victim reported it to police on Wednesday and said he knew who had robbed him. Police visited the suspect at his residence, arrested him and booked him into the county jail. The vehicle has still not been located.
Embezzlement, San Juan Road
A supervisor at Quik Stop in the 1300 block of San Juan Road called police after reviewing the store’s internal security and proving that an employee had been embezzling from the store. Although the incident happened on July 3, the supervisor didn’t report it until Wednesday. When police arrived at the store and interviewed the suspect, who is a 25-year-old man from Salinas, he admitted to embezzling at least $1,000. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Vehicle theft, Hillcrest Road
Between 10 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an unknown suspect stole a vehicle from the 800 block of Hillcrest Road. At 10 p.m. on the same night, police were called to the area of the 200 block of Enterprise Road to a vehicle that was on fire. Although it hadn’t been reported stolen yet, it was the same vehicle that had been taken from Hillcrest Road. No suspect information was available.
