ARRESTS

Suspicion leads to arrests on warrants

A report of a suspicious person on the 200 block of San Benito Street resulted in the arrest of a suspect last Wednesday. Police detained the suspect and ran a records check that revealed that the man, who works locally as a security guard, had a warrant out of Colorado for possession of stolen property.

False imprisonment in moving vehicle

Sheriffs deputies arrested a suspect Monday in Aromas who was reported to have refused to pull over to allow his girlfriend to exit his car. Instead, the suspect began driving in a fast and reckless manner, according to the sheriff’s office. When the victim attempted to call her father, the suspect grabbed her arm, preventing her from doing so, deputies reported. The suspect was arrested and booked on suspicion of false imprisonment and willful cruelty to a child due to the fact that the victim is a minor.

Meth possession, warrants

Sheriffs deputies took a suspect into custody at the intersection of Central Avenue and Line Street after a traffic stop that revealed warrants on the driver’s record. A search of the vehicle revealed a switchblade knife and 0.94 of an ounce of methamphetamine.
