Auto theft

Thieves stole a 1992 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck parked on the street in front of a home in the 1300 block of Sally Street in Hollister between 10pm Thursday and 7:32am Friday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Thieves stole a 1995 Chevrolet Lumina from a residence in the 800 block of Paseo Drive at about 6:10am Monday, police said. There are no suspects.

Burglaries

Burglars entered a residence in the 300 block of Athena Way in Hollister between 5pm and 8:30pm March 13, police said. Burglars took $8,000 in jewelry and two cell phones, police said. There are no suspects or signs of forced entry.

Arrests

Driving under the influence

Stephen Lorenzo Sandoval, 22, of the 700 block of First Street in Gilroy, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana in a vehicle, a misdemeanor, on Highway 25 north of Wright Road at 11:43pm Friday, according to the CHP.

Danny Curayag, 27, of the 900 block of Marne Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a crash on Freitas Road north of Mitchell Road in Hollister at 3:01am Saturday, according to the CHP.

Julie Ann Doyle, 37, of the 200 block of Boweing Avenue in Salinas, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, and being under the influence of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, after officers checked a vehicle parked on the side of Highway 101 north of Highway 156 at 11am Saturday, according to the CHP.

Jesus Ceja Gonzalez, 18, of the 300 block of Locust Avenue in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence and evading a peace officer, both of which are misdemeanors, after officers pulled him over for reckless driving in the 900 block of Sunset Drive in Hollister at 9:30pm Friday, police said. Gonzalez allegedly drove away from officers and ran on foot, police said.

Drunk in public

Rudolfo Ayala, 24, of the first block of N. Sally Street in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to a home in the first block of North Sally Street at 11:25pm Friday, police said. Ayala was allegedly too drunk to care for himself, police said.

Domestic violence

Jose Luis Jaime, 21, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of domestic violence, damaging a telephone line and false imprisonment, all of which are felonies, after responding to a residence in Hollister at 2:30pm Saturday, police said. Jaime allegedly headbutted a woman, pushed her, kept her from leaving the residence and keeping her from calling police, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
