Grand theft

A property in the 100 block of Fallon Road in Hollister was broken into between Sept. 28, 2006, and Tuesday, the Hollister Police Department said. Two storage containers full of recycled metal worth $10,000 were stolen, police said. There are no suspects.

A vehicle in the 800 block of Hillcrest Drive in Hollister was broken into between 7pm Tuesday and 10:30am Thursday, police said. CDs worth $400 were stolen, police said. There are no suspects.

Vehicle theft

A 1990 Honda CRX was stolen from the driveway of a home in the 200 block of Ranchito Drive in Hollister between 10pm Wednesday and 8am Thursday, police said. There are no suspects.

A 2000 Dodge Intrepid was stolen from the 700 block of Argonne Avenue in Hollister at about 8:35pm Thursday, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

A window was broken and wind chimes were stolen at a home in the 1900 block of Nora Drive in Hollister between 8am and 8pm March 8, police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Drug paraphernalia

Orlando Carlson, 20, of the 2000 block of Evelyns Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, after destroying a smoking pipe in the presence of an officer in the 300 block of Hawkins Street at 7:09pm Wednesday, police said.

Domestic violence

Dacia Perez, 26, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, and possession of controlled substance paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to a disturbance and found that she had beaten a man and had three smoking pipes at 9:10pm Thursday, police said.

Drunk in public

Fred Batrez Jr., 54, of the 100 block of San Tropez Drive in Hollister, was arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to three disturbance calls at his residence at 10:08pm Thursday, police said.

Drunken driving

Jesus Silva, 42, of the 200 block of San Lorenzo Drive in Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after officers responded to a road rage call in the 1300 block of San Juan Road in Hollister at 10:40pm, police said.

Scott McCalley, 57, of Vacaville, was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after officers stopped him in the 200 block of San Benito Street at 1:33am Friday, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
