Vandalism
The back window of a Ford Escort parked in the 900 block of Del Rio Court was smashed at about 8:45pm Saturday, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.
A hole was punched in the gas tank of a GMC Sonoma parked in the 400 block of Sixth Street between midnight and 4pm Saturday, police said. There are no suspects.
A fence in the 1200 block of San Benito Street was spray painted with ‘Norte’ and ’14’ between midnight Monday and 10am Tuesday, police said. There are no suspects.
Burglary
A home in the 100 block of East Park Street was broken into between midnight and 3am Tuesday, police said. Four microphones were taken. There are no suspects.
A garage in the 800 block of Nash Road was entered between 8am Friday and noon Tuesday, police said. A mountain bike was taken, police said. There are no suspects.
Arrests
Child abuse
Teresa Lynn Dennis, 29, of Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of child abuse, a felony, after police responded to a disturbance call at 5:59pm Monday in the Albertson’s parking lot, police said. A 5-year-old Hollister boy was found with marks from hitting and biting, police said.
Resisting arrest
Richard Elias Mendoza, 20, of the 800 block of Hillcrest Road in Hollister, was arrested by police on a warrant and suspicion of resisting arrest, both misdemeanors, at 12:45am Tuesday in the 800 block of Hillcrest Road, police said.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
