Battery with serious bodily injury

A 22-year-old Hollister man was knocked unconscious after being punched in the face at 1:44am Saturday in the 400 block of East Street in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. The man fell in the middle of the street, cracking his head and causing him to bleed severely, police said. The man was flown by helicopter to a San Jose-area hospital, police said. There are no suspects.

Forgery

Christella Macias, 25, of the 1100 block of Smith Alley in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of forgery, a felony, after being called to a market at 7:30pm Saturday in the 800 block of Fourth Street in Hollister, police said. A woman attempted to pass a counterfeit $20, police said.

Threats

Salvador Gonzalez Salinas, 41, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of threats, a felony, and exhibiting a deadly weapon and challenging a fight, both misdemeanors, after officers responded to a disturbance call at 8:30pm Saturday in Hollister, police said. A man had been threatened with a golf club, police said.

Domestic violence

Maurisa Maria Osorio, 22, of Hollister, was arrested by the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of domestic violence, a misdemeanor, after responding to a domestic disturbance call at 6:25am Sunday in Hollister, deputies said. Deputies found a man bleeding from bite marks, deputies said.

Margaret Mangar, 31, of Hollister, was arrested by deputies on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, after responding to a domestic disturbance call at 9:30am Friday in Hollister, deputies said. Deputies found a man bleeding from scratches to the face, deputies said.

Driving under the influence

Thai Nguyen Luong Pham, 25, of the 2200 block of Glenview Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop at 3:50am Saturday on Highway 25 north of Hudner Lane, according to the CHP.

Alejandro Carranco Patino, 34, of the 1000 block of Nash Road, was arrested by police on suspicion of threats, a felony, and reckless driving and driving under the influence, both misdemeanors, after officers responded to a report of a man driving recklessly at 11:08pm Sunday at East and Seventh streets in Hollister, police said.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
