Carjacking

A man was punched and had his vehicle taken at about 8:20pm in the first block of Locust Avenue in Hollister, the Hollister Police Department said. There are no suspects.

Robbery

A man entered the Quik Stop on San Juan Road at 1:20am Sunday, police said. The man demanded money, and when the clerk refused, the man took two 18 packs of Budweiser beer and left, police said. Police suspect a 5-foot, 7-inch, 165-pound Hispanic man wearing a black shirt and hat and gray pants.

Burglary

The front door of a home was pried open between 9 and 11am Saturday in the 100 block of Third Street in Hollister, police said. About $1,800 worth of jewelry and $5,000 in cash was taken, police said. There are no suspects.

Vandalism

The back window of a Hollister Police Department patrol car was broken between 10pm Saturday and 8am Sunday in the 1500 block of Liberty Drive in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects.

Vehicle Theft

A Jeep Commander was stolen between 10:30pm Saturday and noon Sunday from the 100 block of Sally Street in Hollister, police said. There are no suspects.

Arrests

Weapon Possession and Drug Paraphernalia

Michael Barrientos, 28, of the 100 block of Santa Ana Road in Hollister, was arrested by the Hollister Police Department on suspicion of illegal weapon possession, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, after a vehicle check at 1:14am Saturday in the 600 block of West Street in Hollister, police said.

Domestic violence

Jason Michael Parsons, 33, of Hollister, was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence, a felony, after police responded to a domestic disturbance call at 1:53am Saturday in Hollister, police said. A woman had been grabbed by her throat, hit in the head with a frying pan and slammed against a wall, police said.

Drug sales

Brandon Coty Womack, 23, of Gilroy, was arrested by police on suspicion of drug sales, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, while officers investigated a hit-and-run at 1:51am Sunday in the 1500 block of Valley View Road in Hollister, police said.

Assault

Jesus Ramires Gonzalez, 37, of Hollister, was arrested by police on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, a felony, after officers responded to a report of road rage at 5:51am Tuesday in the 1600 block of San Juan Road, police said. A man was punched and then kicked repeatedly while on the ground, police said.

Driving under the influence

Kevin Rodrigues, 43, of the 17,200 block of Lake View Drive in Morgan Hill, was arrested by the California Highway Patrol on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop at 12:12am Saturday on southbound Highway 101 south of Highway 129, according to the CHP.

Jose Ochoa Garcia, 34, of the 800 block of Summer Drive in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, a misdemeanor, after a traffic stop at 10:45pm Monday at San Benito and Seventh streets in Hollister, according to the CHP.

Camilo Dejesus, 26, of the first block of San Felipe Road in Hollister, was arrested by the CHP on suspicion of driving under the influence, giving false information to a peace officer, driving without a license and a warrant, all misdemeanors, after a traffic stop at 3:25am Monday on Churchill Road east of Fairview Road in Hollister, according to the CHP.

All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
