Assault with a deadly weapon, Meridian Street
At 1:40 p.m. on Friday, Hollister male juvenile student attempted to stab a Marguerite Maze Middle School employee with flag pole. The student also battered another teacher and caused a large disturbance. Police could not specify what the reason was for the assault. The suspect was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.
Under the influence of a controlled substance, Fourth Street
Around 10 p.m. on Friday, a 37-year-old Hollister man was arrested for displaying objective signs of being under the influence of a controlled substance on the 900 block of Fourth Street. The man was in possession of drug paraphernalia and was in violation of his parole. He was arrested and booked into the county jail for being under the influence, possession of paraphernalia and parole violation.

Identity theft, Gabilan Drive
At 11:25 a.m. on Thursday, a mother reported to police that an unknown individual was using her 10-year-old daughter’s Social Security number and date of birth for employment purposes in the Los Angeles area.
Petty theft, San Benito Street
A 1:25 p.m. on Saturday, an unknown suspect walked into 7-11 on the 900 block of San Benito Street and walked out with a beer cooler and a 24-ounce bottle of beer. No suspect information was available.
Possession of marijuana, Vista Hill Park
At 9:59 p.m. on Saturday, a 22-year-old Hollister male was stopped for being in Vista Hill Park after hours. The suspect was found to be in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana and was cited and released.
Vehicle theft, McCray Street
At 9 p.m. on Saturday, a vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on the 200 block of McCray Street. No suspect information was available.
Theft, Rustic Street
At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, a rear license plate was stolen from a vehicle on the 100 block of Rustic Street. Police said the vehicle was parked at the victim’s residence. No suspect information was available.
