A 46-year-old Hollister man was stopped for a traffic violation
and gave a false name to police. He was later arrested once police
figured out he lied about his name.
ARRESTS
False identification to an officer, Mimosa Street
At 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer stopped a 46-year-old Hollister man for a vehicle violation on the 1500 block of Mimosa Street. During the stop, the suspect gave police a false name. Police later ascertained his real name and arrested him. He was booked into the county jail.
Vandalism, San Juan Road
At 7:40 p.m. on Monday, a 20-year-old Hollister man violated a restraining order and damaged a vehicle on the 900 block of San Juan Road. Police contacted the suspect, arrested him and booked him into the county jail.
Theft, San Juan Road
At 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a Hollister male juvenile walked into Hollister Super Market on the 1200 block of San Juan Road and walked out with a case of beer without paying. An investigation identified the suspect and the next day, police found him, arrested him and booked him into juvenile hall.
CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS
Unreasonable noise, Recht Street
At 1:30 a.m. on Thursday, police responded to the 300 block of Recht Street on a noise complaint. Authorities said that someone in the residence called police and a 23-year-old Hollister man was placed under citizen’s arrest. He was later cited for unreasonable noise and released by police.
Petty theft, San Juan Road
At 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, an unknown suspect entered the Plaza 156 gas station on the 1600 block of San Juan Road, grabbed three bottles of beer and walked out of the store. Police were unable to locate the suspect and have no information on him.
Second-degree burglary, Black Forest Drive
At 3 a.m. on Monday, an unknown suspect broke into a vehicle on the 1800 block of Black Forest Drive. The suspect took electronics from the vehicle.
