Possession of a dangerous weapon, Homestead Avenue

At 1:26 p.m. on Thursday, police were called to the 900 block of Homestead Avenue in regard to a group of juveniles attempting to break into a residence. Police contacted two juveniles fitting the description and found them to be in possession of an illegal weapon and burglary tools. Police arrested both the juveniles, one from Hollister, the other from East Palo Alto and booked them into juvenile hall. Along with the possession charges, both were charged with conspiracy to commit a crime.

Petty theft with priors, Tres Pinos Road

At 3:25 p.m. on Saturday, a suspect was found taking razor blades from Kmart without paying on the 400 block of Tres Pinos Road. The suspect, a 22-year-old Hollister man, had previous convictions for theft. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Battery on police or emergency personnel, Squire Court and Prune Street

At 3:44 p.m. on Sunday, police received a report of a suspect trying to break the window of a vehicle in the area of Squire Court and Prune Street. Police detained the suspect, who was intoxicated. He became combative with police causing damage to a patrol car window and caused a minor injury to an officer. The Hollister male juvenile was arrested and booked into juvenile hall.

CRIMINAL COMPLAINTS

Battery, San Benito Street

At 12:45 a.m. on Friday, a victim was battered in Wentz Alley, outside of Johnny’s Bar on the 500 block of San Benito Street. Police said the intoxicated victim was escorted out of the bar by the suspect. In the alley, the two had a confrontation and the suspect caused enough bodily harm to the victim to send him to the hospital. The suspect was detained by police but no arrests were made. The case is pending further investigation.

Vandalism

At 9:57 a.m. on Saturday, police received a report of vandalism to a residence on the 600 block of Verdun Avenue. Police said the front door of the house had been kicked in and split into two pieces. No suspect information was available.

Robbery, Hawkins Street

At 11:29 p.m. on Sunday, a victim was knocked unconscious on the 100 block of Hawkins Street. When the victim awoke, he noticed that his cell phone, money and identification were missing. No suspect information was available.
