The Hollister Police Department is looking for two suspects in a theft of alcohol that occurred on Jan. 20 at the Quickstop Store on San Felipe Road and North Street.

A Hispanic male adult who is about 25 to 30 years old entered the store just before 2 a.m., walked straight to the beverage cooler, picked out an 18-pack of beer and walked back to the front of the store before running out the door without paying, according to police.

According to a statement:

The clerk chased the suspect toward North Street where the man jumped into a waiting vehicle driven by a second suspect. The vehicle then fled southbound on San Benito Street and westbound on Third Street.

The clerk then called police, who informed other agencies to be on the lookout, but they were not found.

The suspect in the store was described as a Hispanic male approximately 6-foot-1 and weighing around 230 to 250 lbs. He was wearing a red hooded sweater. He had medium skin tone and a mustache. The suspect got into a late model silver colored Jeep Cherokee, according to police.
