Mountain lion sightings

Hollister Police Chief David Westrick reported a mountain lion sighting Tuesday morning at Brigantino Park.
The city has had to close Brigantino Park several times since the park opened last year due to mountain lion sightings there.
Westrick reported a sighting on Twitter and posted the city’s safety tips relating to mountain lion encounters. He did not mention any plans for a closure.
The sighting Tuesday comes eight days after a mountain lion sighting near the San Benito High School Agriculture Building.
