VEHICLE THEFT:
– Unknown suspects stole a 1990 black Ford Ranger truck from the 2300 block of Bert Drive between 3:30pm on Wednesday and 10:30pm on Thursday, Hollister police said.
DRUG POSSESSION:
– Juan Jose Meza, 24, of 1590 Diablo Dr. in Hollister, was arrested by Hollister police for possession of a controlled substance, a felony, possession of drug paraphernalia and destroying evidence, misdemeanors, at East and Hawkins streets on Thursday at 12:18am, police said. Officers contacted Meza on a bike, and in an attempt to get rid of a crack pipe so officers wouldn’t find it he threw it on the ground and it broke, police said.
POSSIBLE ARSON:
– A small fire erupted at San Benito Foods in the 700 block of Sally Street at 10:40am on Thursday that burned some paper items, police said. Police don’t know how it started and have no suspects.
All those named are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
