HOLLISTER
Hollister police are seeking a 45-year-old man suspected of exposing his genitalia on two recent occasions to juvenile girls.
Police Sgt. James Egan developed leads after the initial report – and another allegation of a prior incident that later surfaced – pointing to Robert A. Lebarre as the suspect, according to a press release from the department. There is a warrant out for his arrest, and police note that he has held residences in both Hollister and Manteca.
Police first responded Jan. 24 to the 200 block of San Juan Drive to a report of a male exposing himself to two juvenile females, according to police. The victims told officers that a male subject had been sitting in a parked, white Dodge truck – and as the two girls approached the vehicle, the suspect opened the passenger door and exposed his genitalia, according to police. The two girls then ran away and called authorities, the statement says.
One of the girls advised police that she believed the same man had exposed himself to her the previous week near Rancho San Justo Middle School. She did not report the allegation at the time, according to the statement. Officers searched the surrounding area but could not find the suspect, according to police. The warrant for Lebarre’s arrest alleges indecent exposure.
He has a prior address in Hollister and another in Manteca. Lebarre drives a white 2005 Dodge quad cab pickup truck with a license plate number 7X59444. Police request that anyone who sees the vehicle call 911 and do not try to apprehend the suspect, according to the release.
Anyone with information about the case should call Detective Don Pershall at (831) 636-4330.
