The parents of Vanessa Flores console each other while addressing media Tuesday over her daughter's link to Jose Barajas, the suspect in last week's shooting homicide.

The police chief has scheduled a press briefing for Tuesday morning in the Ariana Zendejas homicide case.
Chief David Westrick expects to brief media on the homicide of the 19-year-old Hollister resident and a related kidnapping of 20-year-old Vanessa Flores, according to a police announcement.
The briefing is set for 11:15 a.m. Tuesday. It will include a brief statement and limited time for questions, according to police.
Police have been looking for Jose Barajas, 20, as the primary suspect in the shooting that killed Zendejas. Police believe Barajas fired from one vehicle into another, which included Zendejas as a passenger, at B and West streets the night of Aug. 1. Investigators allege it was in retaliation for a confrontation earlier that day between the suspect and another male.
Investigators previously reported they believed Barajas was holding another female, Flores, against her will as well.
There had been a $1,000 reward in the case, but council members approved a $25,000 amount paid from the city’s general fund.
