improvements, according to Caltrans.
All northbound and southbound lanes of U.S. Highway 101 from Capitol Expressway to the Interstate 280/680 interchange in San Jose will be closed for three nights beginning Friday due to road improvements, according to Caltrans.

The first closure begins 11:30 p.m. Friday and runs until 6:30 a.m. Saturday. The second closure will be in effect from 11 p.m. Saturday to 8 a.m. Sunday. The final closure is set for 10 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday, according to a Caltrans news release.

Caltrans detours:

Southbound U.S. 101: Travel southbound on U.S. 101 to the westbound Story Road off-ramp to McLaughlin Avenue. Turn left on McLaughlin Avenue then travel southbound to Capitol Expressway on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101.

Northbound U.S. 101: Travel northbound on U.S. 101 to the Capitol Expressway off-ramp. Take Capitol Expressway eastbound to King Road. Turn left on King Road then travel northbound to Tully Road on-ramp to northbound U.S. 101.

Southbound I-680 to southbound U.S. 101: Take King Road southbound to Capitol Expressway on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101.

Southbound I-280 to southbound U.S. 101: Take McLaughlin Avenue southbound to Capitol Expressway on-ramp to southbound U.S. 101.
