 Prudencio “Rudy” Perez, 86, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2015, after brief illness.
 Loving husband of Janie Perez of Gilroy. Beloved Daddy-o of Alice Perez Wade (Kevin) of Tiburon, Ruben Perez of Gilroy and Trish McRae (David) of Montrose, CA. Dear Tata of Jonathan, Kevin and Megan McRae of Montrose. Brother of Paul Perez of Gilroy and the late Tony, Jerry, Jenny, Lalo and Mary. Brother-in-law of Victor Valdez Sr. of Gilroy and the late Bea Zertuche. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and family members.
 A native of Madera, CA he moved to Gilroy in the early 40’s where he met the love of his life for 62 years, Janie.
 Worked as lead grounds man for Gilroy Unified School District for over 30 years. To enjoy is grandchildren, Rudy retired early.
 Member of St. Mary Church, 4th Degree Knights of Columbus, active in St. Mary’s School Men’s club, past member of Gilroy Optimist, past member of Sociedad Funeraria Mexicana de Hollister, active member of the Gilroy Anti-grafitti watch, Gilroy Community Seniors, past volunteer at the Gilroy Garlic Festival and advocate of the festival, making unique original design Garlic hats for the enjoyment of the festival goers. Rudy enjoyed dancing even up to his last day. Rock n Roll!
