Students with the Hollister Methodist Preschool in Hollister did their annual rounds for Halloween on Friday. Students, parents and staff members went trick or treating to downtown businesses.

The San Benito County Public Health Department released tips through the state health department on Halloween safety.
Some of the tips included the following:
Costumes should be labeled as flame resistant and should be the right size.
Consider non-toxic face paint instead of a mask due to visibility.
Avoid decorative contact lenses without consultation of eye care professional.
Decorate costumes or bags with reflective tape or stickers, or use glow sticks.
Trick or treaters should walk in groups and with a trusted adult. Use crosswalks and walk instead of running.
