Ralph F. Alvarez passed away in Gilroy, March 15, 2007. He was 83 years old. Ralph did not have any children of his own, but raised his nieces and nephews as if they were his own. He is uncle of Olga Juarez and John Marinelli, grandfather of Rachael Juarez and Monica Juarez. great-grandfather of Tommy Rodriguez, Trinidad Rodriguez, Ralph Rodriguez, Rashele Rodriguez and Rita Torres, and brother of Nacho Alvarez and Nellie Garcia. He is also survived by many other nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 5 sisters.
Mr. Alvarez was a Veteran of World War II. A native of Calipatria, CA, he lived in Gilroy for the last 20 years and was a resident of San Juan Bautista prior to that. He was the most selfless man! Always gave to anyone in need.
Vigil Service will be Monday, March 19, 2007, 7:00 P.M. at Habing Family Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, March 20, 2007, 11:00 A.M. at San Juan Bautista District Cemetery.
