A sixty-eight year old native of Hollister, Randolph Carl Churchill, passed away, in his home, after a long crusade against cancer.
Randy attended San Benito High School and graduated with the class of 1961. He then married and had two sons. During this time, he served in the military and worked for Sunnyslope Water District.
He moved to Lake Tahoe in the early 70’s where he was a Blackjack dealer at Harrah’s Casino. In 1980, he returned to Hollister to work in the family business, Churchill Nut Company, with his father.
In 1989, he met and married the love of his life. In his later years, he worked as an electrician and retired from Churchill Construction in 2008.
He was known to entertain his family and friends with his dry wit and MacGyver ways.
He enjoyed all types of water sports, including barefoot water skiing. Camping, gardening and spending time with family and close friends was always at the top of his list.
He is survived by his wife Jeanie Sargenti Churchill of 22 years, sisters, Barbara Churchill Brown and Nanette Fonquernie Grant, brothers, Donald and Dennis Churchill, his sons, Jeff and Brian Churchill, daughters, Heidi, Jenna and Danielle Perez, and nine grandchildren, Shane, Iris, Britney, Cheyenne, Courtney, Pandorra, Morgan, Rocco and Gavyn.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clifford Churchill, mother, Elsie Fonquernie and step-mother, Antonia Churchill.
A Celebration of Life will take place for “Papa Randy” at 1:00 P.M. on November 19th, 2011, at 85 Ray Circle, Hollister, CA. Family and friends are invited to attend.
