Regino DeLeon died Saturday, Jan. 17, 2004 in Salinas. He was 64.

He was born in Bishop, Texas and came to Hollister from Texas about 40 years ago. He worked in construction and as a hobby liked to restore automobiles. He married his wife, Anselma DeLeon in Texas in 1961.

He is survived by his wife; children and their spouses, Juan DeLeon of Hollister, Regino Jr. and Shelly DeLeon of Phoenix, Imelda and Adolfo Villegas of Hollister, Sylvia and Joseph Arciniega of Hollister and Oscar DeLeon of Hollister; brothers and sisters, Belia Uribe, Fulgencio DeLeon, Agapita Camacho, Hilario DeLeon, Abel DeLeon and Noelia DeLeon all of Brownsville, Texas. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. David Martinez of Jehovah’s Witnesses will officiate.

Arrangements and cremation are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home and Gavilan Hills Crematory.
