The San Benito County Retired Teachers’ Association provided six grants to local teachers on Dec. 13 of $50 to spend in their classrooms. The grants were given by Local Division 26.
The six grant recipients included Kathy Hudson, Katie Larson, Katie Evans, Kristen Damm and Brenda Starks-Jones, of the Hollister School District and John Biddick, of the Aromas-San Juan Unified School District.
The grants were presented at a tea event at the San Benito County Office of Education by Terry Cruz, the second vice president of SBCRTA. Also attending were members Barbara Ament, Sharry Jones, Valerie Halla and Mary Larson.
