Rev. Fabian Garza died Feb. 13, 2004 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. He was 66.

Rev. Garza was born in Kenedy, Texas. He had moved back to Kenedy 10 years ago and had lived in San Jose and spent a great deal of time in Hollister. He was a minister with Principe De Paz Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.

He is survived by his wife Zoila Garza of Kenedy, Texas, his children Veronica Garza of San Antonio, Texas, Christi DeLos Santos of San Antonio, Jefthe Garza of San Antonio, John Garza of Discovery Bay, Calif. and Phil Garza of Fremont, Calif., and his brothers and sisters, Fidel Garza, Jimmie Garza, Elida Alice Saldana, Yolanda Jiminez and Elvira Gonzales all of San Antonio, Texas.

Memorial services were held Monday at Iglesia De Dios in Hollister.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Feb. 19, 2004 at 10 a.m. at Tabernacle Convention Center in Kenedy, Texas with burial following at Loma Alta Cemetery in Kenedy.

Donations are preferred to the Garza family.

Local arrangements are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
