The Rev. Felix Migliazzo, a retired Roman Catholic priest
remembered as both a good-natured prankster and a sympathetic
minister to the sick, died of lung cancer Saturday in his Monterey
home. He was 84.
The Rev. Felix Migliazzo, a retired Roman Catholic priest remembered as both a good-natured prankster and a sympathetic minister to the sick, died of lung cancer Saturday in his Monterey home. He was 84.

He was pastor of the Old Mission Church at San Juan Bautista in 1984 until his retirement in 1987.

Father Felix is survived by two brothers, Vincent of Los Angeles and Samuel of Westminster; two sisters, Virginia Rosato of Vacaville and Albina Reinig of Winton; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by another brother, Charles.

A rosary and Scripture reading is scheduled for 2pm on Tuesday, May 31 at San Carlos Cathedral in Monterey, followed by a wake at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. June 1 at the cathedral.
