Richard S. Hall, (Dick Hall), a long time Hollister resident, passed away peacefully in his home in Dunsmuir, CA ,on September 21, 2007, after a short battle with cancer. He was 86 years old.

Richard was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He was a Veteran of the Army Air Corp during WWII and the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

Richard moved to Hollister with his family in 1953, where he was a Real Estate Broker for 30 years. In Hollister, he was a member of the Exchange Club, V.F.W., and the Elks Club. He enjoyed duck hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited.

His love of fly fishing took him to Dunsmuir when he retired in 1991. He lived there for the past 16 years, where he enjoyed fishing the many northern California rivers.

Richard was preceded in death by his son, Richard Ware Hall. He is survived by his children, Fallon Hall Greig of Hollister, Susan Rhodes Hall Goossen of Etna, Richard S. Hall III of Arnold, Cathy Mione of Chico, and James Fallon Hall of Redding; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
