Robert Shaffer died peacefully in his sleep the afternoon of June 3rd,2010, two days after his 88th birthday, which he celebrated with his family. Bob served as a Lieutenant in the US Naval Air Corp. He was a certified fighter pilot, flying Hellcats during WWII.

Preceded in death by his loving wife, Rose Marie, he is survived by his sons Steven (Kathleen) and Michael, and two grandchildren Jennifer and Jimmy.

He was always a strong, proud, and respectful man who demonstrated integrity all his life.

Friends and family are invited to a memorial on Monday, June 14th, 2010, at 11:00 A.M., Woodlawn Cemetery, Colma. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Veterans Association would be appreciated.
