Bob Sutton, 63, passed away on Sunday, March 13, 2011 in San Jose, CA. He was born in Los Angeles, CA to Dwyle and Mary Sutton. He graduated from Bishop Alemany High School School in the San Fernando Valley and received his BA degree in Business from California State University in Fullerton in 1971.
Bob served in the U.S. Navy as well as the U.S. Naval Reserves for six years. He worked at Alpine RV in Morgan Hill and retired in 2009. Bob and his family have been residents of Santa Clara County for over 26 years.
His family and especially his grandchildren were his pride and greatest joy. Family gatherings were most often held around a backyard fire at his home in Gilroy where everyone was welcome. No one could escape his wonderful sense of humor; he filled the room with laughter wherever he was. He loved the game of golf and playing poker with his Poker Buddies who will miss him around their table.
Bob loved sports, especially watching the Green Bay Packers.
Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 40 years, Leann Sutton. He was the proud and loving father of Christine Barel (Yannick), Stephanie Sutton, Robby Sutton (Chrissy) and Richard Kelley (Monica). His grandchildren Ally, Carly, Cory, Aaliyah, Christopher, Benjamin and Skylar were the light of his life, and his daily presence in their lives will be missed.
Bob is also survived by his sisters Kym Sacca, Bonnie Bishop, Maria Sutton and his brothers, Jim and Harley Sutton as well as his many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
“Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me…
Let my name be ever in your thoughts” Henry Scott Holland.
