Hollister resident Robert G. Perry died at his home Monday, Sept. 1. He was 65.
Perry was a graduate of San Benito High School. He was trained as a mechanic and machinist in the National Guard and served for eight years working on their tanks.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, member and past treasurer of the Hollister Lodge No. 1436, B.P.O.E., a member of Scarpum, Cementum and Ducks Unlimited. He was a former member of the Boosters and the Western Growers Association. He was co-owner of P&L Farms, raising row crops with his brother-in-law, Pete Lomanto. He was also a co-owner of Garden Fresh with John Sarkisian and a former partner with Greg Cabral in C&P Cattle Company.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn J. Perry of Hollister; children Richard G. (Kim) Perry and Lisa M. (Trino) Jimenez, both of Hollister; grandchildren Ali Perry, Ashley and Justin Jimenez, and Matthew Mendelson; brother and sister-in-law Peter J. and Paula Lomanto of Hollister; aunts and uncles Marian and Richard Falconi, and Babe and Johnny Lomanto, and Frances Ramoni, all of Hollister; cousins Judy and Frank Arzie of Hollister and numerous other relatives.
No formal visitation is planned at the mortuary. Friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass followed by a memorial service given by the Hollister Lodge No. 1436 B.P.O.E. on Monday, Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Private cremation and inurnment will be conducted by Grunnagle-Ament-Nelson Crematory.

Perry’s cremains will be placed in the family plot at Calvary Cemetery.
