Ronald A. Filice, a long-time Gilroy resident, passed away on January 19, 2007. He was born December 19, 1941 to Louis and LeeNora Filice in San Jose, CA.
Ron attended Gilroy Schools (GHS class of 1960), Hartnell College and Cal Poly SLO. He joined the Army and then returned to Gilroy after his father passed away to help with the family ranch. In 1967, Ron married Roxane Gardner. He worked for Santa Clara County for many years until he retired in 1999. He had many fond memories of his life in Gilroy and his friends there. Ron and Rox moved to La Quinta, CA and enjoyed their retirement in the warm desert sun. Ron was preceded in death by his father Louis and brother Alan. He is survived by his wife Roxane Filice, mother LeeNora Filice, daughters Michelle (Paul) Kushlan and Carey (Brad) Brozaitis, sisters Kathleen Orlando and Sylvia Meyer, sister-in-law Kathleen (Richard) Frassetti and 3 nieces and 1 nephew. Papa will be greatly missed by his grandchildren Zack, Kaylin, Alyssa and Jenna.
