Rose M. Filice, “Gram”, 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning, October 3, 2007.

She was the wife of the late Ignacio “Tony” Filice, the daughter of the late Vincent and Santa Perdichizzi, the mother of the late Dennis Anthony Filice, and Richard Ignacio Filice, grandmother of Lori Manning (Richard), Richard Filice Jr. (Kristin), Vincent Filice (Melissa), Sara Hamilton (Joseph), Great Grandmother to Ella Manning and Caden Filice, sister to the late Mary Ciraulo (Joe), Nettie Albert, the late Nancy Venosta (Peter), Jay Vierra (George), Emma Bertuccio (Bud), Domenic Perdichizzi (Bernice), and Muffalda Bertuccio (George). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

Rose was born in Fresno, CA, to a loving mother and father, the late Santa and Vincent Perdichizzi. She spent most of her life in Morgan Hill and Gilroy CA. working in her early years on the family’s ranch and later at the Filice and Perrelli Cannery, where she met her husband, the late Ignacio Filice. The two were married and had two sons; the late Dennis Anthony Filice, and Richard Ignacio Filice.

Gram was the center of strength and love within the family. She dedicated most of her life to caring for her children and grandchildren. She was a cancer survivor, an all around strong soul, who was loved by all who had the opportunity to know her (and her smart aleck sense of humor).

Gram was greatly loved, and will be equally missed.
