Born Rose Keonepuarosalieomahamoku Wong in Hanalei, Kauai, HI to Martha and Yun Wong, died peacefully in her sleep in Gilroy, CA.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wylie Kirk, of 17 years; sisters Daisy Malczon and Leilani Burgo; brothers Alexander and Walter Wong. She is survived by her brother Samuel Wong, her daughter Darlene Nelson (Ron), grandson Joel Nelson, granddaughter Kristina Hernandez (Hector), great-grandchildren Aidan and Leilani Hernandez. Also survived by her children from a previous marriage, Elizabeth Lum (Lawrence), Leila George (Peter), Douglas Mar (Pat), and Shirley Garcia; ten grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was a loving mom, grandma, great-grandma and was also a fantastic mother-in-law and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
After retiring as a nurses aid, she loved to travel and work in her yard. The family requests no flowers to be sent, services are private.
