The Anzar girls basketball team stayed perfect in league play Friday, beating Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory 28-17.
The Hawks were led by 10 points from Delaney McKinney and eight points from Leslie Martinez. Jessica Tidwell, Gabriela Medina each added four points and Lynette Weckerle finished with two points.
The victory is the Hawks second league win of the season in as many chances and moves their overall record to 4-10.
The Hawks travel to East Palo Alto Academy in Menlo Park on Monday. The game starts at 6 p.m.
Boys basketball
The Hawks earned their first league win – and second win of the season – with a 55-15 victory over Georgiana Bruce Kirby Preparatory.
The victory ends the Hawks six-game losing streak, and improves their record to 2-12.
The Hawks travel to Gilroy on Tuesday to face Anchorpoint Christian at 7 p.m.
Boys soccer
The boys soccer team allowed five first-half goals and fell 6-0 to Pacific Grove on Friday.
The loss opened up the league season for Anzar.
The Hawks host Soledad on Wednesday in the season’s second league game.
