Ruth H. Taylor died at her Hollister home on April 15. She was
born in Missouri and was 82 years old.
Ruth H. Taylor died at her Hollister home on April 15. She was born in Missouri and was 82 years old.
She had lived in Gilroy for many years and moved to Hollister 17 years ago. She was a member of the Gilroy First Presbyterian Church, Hazel Hawkins Hospital Auxiliary and past president of the PEO, Daughters of the American Revolution, Children’s Home Society and American Field Service. She enjoyed knitting caps for newborns at Hazel Hawkins Hospital with her affiliation with the auxiliary. She worked for years for John Klarich and also for the Presbyterian Church in Gilroy. She and her husband, Bob, were married in 1946 in Salinas.
She is survived by her husband, Bob Taylor of Hollister; her two children and their spouses, Janet and Gary Perreira of Bakersfield and Larry and Jeanne Taylor of White House, Ohio; her sister, Martha Waters of Huntington Beach and seven grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held on Thursday, April 21 at 11am at the Gilroy First Presbyterian Church on Santa Theresa Blvd. Rev. Bruce Rowlison will officiate. A reception will follow the services at the church hall. Private family inurnment is planned.
