Ho Ho Ho. Merry Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. Ours was great. The only thing that could have made it a little bit better would have been if it were pouring-down rain instead of being a balmy, 65 degree day. Hopefully the new year will bring us some much needed wet weather.

We hosted our annual Christmas Eve gathering at our home last Saturday evening. Lots of family and friends attended while awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus. Some of those enjoying the evening included Jeff, Shari and Melissa Popnoe, Jeff, Jean and Steve Schmidt, Donna and Laurence Hansen, Al and Bonnie Stoeberl, Les Sans, Nessen Schmidt, Valerie Bassetti, the Garza Family, the Hurley Family, Becky Doty, Lisa Smith, Kenny and Valerie Reed, the Barrington Family and Vern and Jo Ann Scattini, just to name a few. A good time was had by all, especially by the little ones who each received a present from Santa Claus (aka Steve Schmidt).

George and Sandy Rose hosted a small gathering on Christmas Eve at their home for family members. Gregg, Sami Jo, Rory and Jo Ellen Johnsen enjoyed the evening with them.

Now that Christmas is officially over, its time to bring in the New Year. If anyone knows any rain dances, we’d sure appreciate it if you’d start dancing now as we are in dire need of a good soaker. It looks like the middle of August around here, not the end of December. Hopefully well get a good rain next week.

This is the final weekend of the NFL regular season. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for some more Tebow Time Magic on Sunday. The Broncos are just about all I can root for this weekend since my fantasy football team choked so bad on our final week. My team missed the playoffs by a mere four points. Oh well. Good luck to the remaining ladies in the Naughty Football League. Next year will be a better year for me.

Lots of celebrations will be taking place this weekend to bring in the New Year. Have a great time wherever you may be celebrating. Be careful, drive safely and have a Happy New Year!
