Behind 10 kills from Erik Rodriguez and 35 assists from brother Adrian, the San Benito High boys volleyball team earned team-to-beat status last Thursday when they trumped previously unbeaten Gilroy in three games (25-17, 25-21, 25-13).
The Haybalers (13-7 overall) are now the only remaining undefeated team in the Tri-County Athletic League at 4-0, and will host Salinas (3-1 TCAL) Tuesday at Mattson Gym in Hollister.
Last weekend, the ‘Balers went 2-2 at the Charger Classic in Leland, topping Pioneer (25-5, 25-20) and Sobrato (25-3, 16-25, 15-8) before falling to Homestead (13-25, 21-25) and Rocklin (19-25, 21-25).
