the 10 and under championship meet this past weekend at Hartnell
College in Salinas.
San Benito Aquatics coach Christine Schafer took ten swimmers to the 10 and under championship meet this past weekend at Hartnell College in Salinas.

All swimmers had to have “A” times or better in order to compete in the meet.

Forrest Ego, 6, had three second-place finishes and one third-place finish in the four events he swam. He improved the most in his 50 breast by swimming nearly five seconds faster with a personal best time of 1:07.59.

His older sister, Stephanie Ego, 8, achieved a personal record in the 25 free with a time of 15.69 and a sixth in the 25 fly and fourth place in the 25 back.

Troy Donovan, 8, had two personal record times. In the 25 free, he had a time of 15.25 for third place, and in the 25 breast, he had a fourth-place time of 20.05. Conner Dobbs, 7, placed second in the 50 back with a time of 47.08. Tanner Carillo-Zazueta, 10, swam a personal best in the 100 IM with a time of 1:21.87 and in the 100 back with a time of 1:21.27.

Kim Hulley, 10, achieved personal best times in the 100 breast (1:42.53), in the 100 IM (1:29.12) and in the 50 free (34.52).

Matti Donovan, 8, swam his best times in the 25 breast (21.94) and the 50 breast (51.16). Caitlin Schafer, 8, achieved personal best times in the 25 breast (23.97) and the 50 breast (51.23).
