Stubbles celebrate 50 years
James and Joan Stubbles, of Gilroy, recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
James is a retired engineer from Lockheed and Joan is a marriage and family therapist in Gilroy.
The couple, married Aug. 26, 1961, enjoyed a celebration with family and friends at Eagle Ridge Golf Club, hosted by their sons, Cary and Paul.
Gormans celebrate 50 years
Ron and June Gorman were married on June 24, 1961 at the First Baptist Church on 6th and Hanna in Gilroy, Pastor Dan Whaley officiated.
They recently celebrated their 50th anniversary by renewing their vows in the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Wren Avenue with Pastor Tim Howe officiating. A reception followed where they were surrounded by friends and family.
Ron and June have been blessed with three children and three grandchildren.
For their anniversary they vacationed in Branson, Mo.

Lyke/Bird
Karina Lyke and Ron Bird (Locarnini) are engaged to be married.
Karina, daughter of Brian and Joyce Lyke of Big Sur, attended Carmel High School in Carmel. She is a massage therapist and pilates instructor, and is attending school for nutrition.
Ron, son of Susan Farris Chamberlain of Morgan Hill, attended Live Oak High School. He is employed by Whole Foods Market in Monterey.
The couple plan an Oct. 9, 2011 wedding at a friend’s home in Carmel Highlands and will reside in Carmel Valley.

Jennifer Marie Indra and Keith Garrett Spencer are engaged to be married.
Jennifer, daughter of Rex and Charleen Indra of Gilroy, graduated from Gilroy High School and is currently a member service representative for CommonWealth Central Credit Union.
Keith, son of Mark and Patty Spencer of Gilroy, graduated from Gilroy High School and is currently a truck driver for US America.
The couple plan a May 19, 2012 wedding at Fortino Winery.
HONOR
Andrew Miller
Andrew Miller, of Boy Scouts of America Troop 711, recently became an Eagle Scout.
To earn scouting’s highest award, Andrew earned 21 merit badges, served as a leader in his troop and completed a major community service project.
Andrew’s service project took place at Town Cats’ annex facility in Morgan Hill, where he organized the rehabilitation of holding cages for feral cats.
Andrew, 18, is the son of Steve and Darlene Miller of Gilroy. He is currently a freshman at San Jose State University.
