HONORS: Ruth Erickson: During the 95th anniversary celebration of the San Benito County Free Library, Ruth Erickson was named volunteer of the year. Her 29 years of active volunteerism and advocacy were recognized with the presentation of a plaque by county librarian Nora Conte and a congratulatory certificate from Senator Anthony Canella’s representative Bill Ritz.
Kimia Ghaderi
Kimia Ghaderi of Morgan Hill, graduated magna cum laude from Rice University on May 12 with a bachelor’s degree. This year Rice awarded 1,665 degrees, including 881 undergraduate and undergraduate professional degrees and 784 graduate degrees.
