Thomas Walsh

HONORS: Thomas Walsh: Air Force Airman Thomas Walsh graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas.

The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

Walsh is the son of Karen and Steven Walsh of Hollister and a 2012 graduate of St. Francis High School.

Jennifer Smith

Jennifer Smith, of San Martin, will compete in Four Wheeler’s Top Truck Challenge, one of the most unique and challenging off-road competitions in the world, in its 21st year this June to determine who is truly the best of the best in a series of wild, off-road truck events.

Smith will square off in a 1968 Ford Bronco against nine other competitors over five exciting days at the Hollister Hills State Vehicular Recreation Area in Hollister. Readers of Four Wheeler submitted entries that were voted on by their peers via the magazine.

The Four Wheeler Top Truck Challenge will take place in early June. The event is closed to the public, however fans can get daily updates at www.fourwheeler.com and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/fourwheelermag.
