Former Hollister resident
Former Hollister resident S.E. “Shirl” Langdon died Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2003 at his home in Lexington, Ky. He was 65.
Mr. Langdon was born in New Haven, Vt. and lived in Hollister from 1945 to 1970 before moving to Kentucky. He was a Realtor for Mays and Associates Realty World and owned Lexington Records Management and Storage.
He was a member of Jessamine Christian Church, where he also taught Sunday school, and a member of the BSF Bible Study.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Palmer Langdon; his mother, Lois Dike Langdon Renfro of Kingsburg, Calif.; his children and their spouses, Karen and B.J. Cobulius, Kelly and Jimmy White and Edward and Frankie Langdon, all of Lexington; his brother, Richard Langdon of Kingsburg; five grandchildren and many nephews, cousins and aunts.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 18 at 10 a.m. at W.R. Milward Mortuary-Southland in Lexington, Ky. The Revs. Bruce Heller and Craig Yates will officiate. Entombment will be in the Lexington Cemetery Mausoleum.
