Hollister resident
Serapia Valadez H. died Friday, Dec. 13, 2002 at Hazel Hawkins Hospital. She was 98.

Mrs. Valadez had lived in Hollister for less than a year. She was a homemaker for most of her adult life and attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Golla Escamilla of Hollister, Inez Valadez of La Puente, Mercedes Aguirre of Woodville, Felicitias Valencia of La Habra, Juanita Escamillo of Anaheim, Julio Valadez of Pixley and Meregildo Valadez of Tijuana, B.C., Mexico; her sister, Isidra Isaac of Mexico; 46 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lorenzo Valadez, and her son, Francisco Valadez.

The Rosary and funeral services will be held this week in Tijuana. Local arrangements are through Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home.
