Attempted burglary, Duncan Lane

At 9:21 a.m. Saturday, an attempted burglary was reported in the 900 block of Duncan Lane in San Juan Bautista. An alarm in a residence went off, and whomever was there – deputies suspect an intruder or a vandalism attempt – vacated the home. A window was broken, with damage estimated at $250.

Vehicle theft, Shore Road

At midnight Saturday, vandalism and theft were reported on the 700 block of Shore Road. A resident reported items stolen from a 2009 GMC truck and a key scratch on the vehicle, with damage estimated at $1,000. The owner told deputies he would call back with a list of stolen items.

Battery, Chittenden Road

At 9:37 a.m. on the 2500 block of Chittenden Road, battery was reported. Deputies allege that a man involved in a relationship with another man’s wife was punched by the husband, who went to his house and confronted him before hitting him.

Burglary, Mission Vineyard Road

Burglary was reported at an unknown time Tuesday in the 500 block of Mission Vineyard Road. Someone broke into a commercial structure and stole a saw, drill and electric planer, with a total estimated value of $800.
