Sheriff’s office finds body, suspects homicide

The county sheriff’s office is investigating a suspected homicide after finding a body over an embankment on Salinas Grade/San Juan Grade Road, according to a statement.
Available information is vague, but the area of the body’s discovery is southwest of San Juan Bautista and east of Highway 101 in the county.
According to that brief email from Capt. Eric Taylor with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Office:
“The San Benito County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a homicide in the 3200 block of Salinas Grade/San Juan Grade Rd.
A deputy located a body over the embankment. This investigation is in its beginning stages and there is no further information at this time.”
